About our Advent Theme: "Words for the Beginning"
Advent is a season of endings and beginnings. As the calendar year comes to a close, a new church year begins. Christ’s birth ushers us into new ways of living and loving; and yet, the world as we know it spins madly on. And so, we invite you to move through this Advent season as if you are entering a sacred new chapter, holding fast to the reminders that will bolster you for the journey ahead. As you journey through this season, may you find words for belovedness and hope. May you find words for beginning again. For no matter what you are facing, no matter what this new day brings, love is your beginning.
About our Blue Christmas Service (Dec 21, 6:30pm at North Waseca): For those who have experienced loss or hardship of any kind, the joy of the holiday season can often feel elusive and out of reach. Blue Christmas services are designed to provide space for prayer, reflection, and remembrance amidst the twinkle lights and holiday hustle and bustle. Bring your grief. Bring your weariness. Bring your fatigue. Bring your whole self to this quiet space to reflect and draw near to God. We hope that this service can be a gift for you, in the midst of life's endings and beginnings. May you find peace in your journey.
About our Christmas Eve Worship Rotation Schedule: As you plan for this year and next, please note that our common council has decided to take turns with the early and late Christmas Eve services, with the early service at 4pm and the late service at 5:30pm or later (to be set by that council each year). Faith's Christmas Eve service in 2025 will be at 5:30pm or later, and we will have the 4:00pm service in 2026.
